Resurrection Power

It has been five years, three months, and five days since I posted my last blog. A lot has changed since I last posted.  I am now mom to an 18 year old (oh my!) and an almost 16 year old. We are no longer missionaries.  We live in a small town between Greensboro and Winston Salem, NC. My husband and I have secular jobs and try to live as normal as possible (ha!). We have all put on a little weight and a few wrinkles.

Tonight I had some quiet time while my husband is away at worship practice,my son is at real estate school, and my daughter is upstairs in a NetFlix coma.  I decided to relax and take a long bubble bath. When people ask me how I unwind, this is it!

As I was relaxing and letting thoughts and stress leave my mind I started thinking of this blog. I felt the need to write again.  I love to write! I wrestled with the title of this blog or starting a new one. I really felt that I needed to "resurrect" this one that has laid dormant for so long.  I do want to say to all of the missionaries out there, I mean no disrespect at all and do not minimize the sacrifice that you may daily by keeping the title.  I just felt it right. I will always be a missionary at heart.

After all God is the author of resurrection. In the past five years he has resurrected so much in my life. He is faithful to carry us through the most difficult times. In the next blog post I will be sharing encouragement about those areas in life that sometimes feel dead.

He speaks to the dead and brings life!
